The Zone

The fastest way to learn the fretboard is to stop looking at all of it at once.

Limit lets you carve out a section of the neck, focus on it, and ignore the rest.

That section is your Zone. Define it, own it, then expand.

Building your Zone
  • Click a note — toggle it in or out
  • Drag across the fretboard — select a region
  • Click a fret number — toggle the whole fret
  • Click a string label — toggle the whole string
  • Esc — clear everything and start fresh

Scale Filter
  • Pick a Scale Type, mode, and root — only those notes will be active and selectable
  • Use Degrees or Chord mode to highlight specific tones
  • Toggle Off to disable the filter and open up all 12 notes

  • Full neck — Scale Filter on, Ctrl/Command+A
  • One position — pick a fret, a string, or drag; switch to Hide
  • Free — Scale Filter off, pick a root, click whatever interests you
